Match ticket related questions
How can I apply, via the branch, for match tickets for a family member who isn't a member of the branch?

Is Manchester City Official Supporters Club Cornwall (OSC) a Ticket Agency?

No. The OSC is a 'family' of City Supporters coming together to celebrate all that we love about the club.  It is not a ticket agency, and we are not guaranteed any tickets for any game.

Can I ask for tickets for any game as soon as the fixtures are announced?

One of the benefits of OSC membership is the opportunity to apply for tickets.  Tickets are released by Manchester City Football Club (The Club) to the Official Supporters Club incrementally, there is no regular pattern to determine when tickets will be made available.  Once games are made available you will receive an email, listing the games and timescales for your application.  There is very often very short timescale applicable for application so please check your email regularly.  No application for tickets can be made other than through answering the email.

Does my membership of the OSC allow me to apply for tickets for games?

No. Your membership of the OSC does not automatically qualify you to apply for tickets. Any member requesting tickets, including children, MUST have a minimum of Match Day Membership for ‘The Club.’

Once I apply for a ticket how likely am I to be successful?

There is NO guarantee members will receive a ticket for games they request. It is difficult to determine a members potential success from an application as there are many variables.  We send all ticket requests to the Official OSC who then inform us how many we will be allocated. Once allocated we inform those successful by email.

Will I be able to apply for tickets for the Derby?

Yes. All members with a minimum of Match Day Membership for ‘The Club’ are able to apply for all matches through the OSC.

Will I be able to apply for tickets for Cup Games?

Yes.  All members with a minimum of Match Day Membership for ‘The Club’ are able to apply for all matches

Am I able to apply for additional tickets for family members / friends?

Yes. You can make an application on behalf of friends and family if they are members of the OSC and also have a minimum of Match Day Membership with Manchester City Football Club.

Can I apply for tickets through the Facebook or WhatsApp Groups?

No, we do not discuss any ticketing matters over social media. Any messages re ticketing will be removed and the member reminded of our rule.

What are my best chances of obtaining tickets through the OSC?

As the club has gained a Global audience & tourist match attendance has increased all OSCs such as ours are having increasing challenges with obtaining tickets.  For the perceived bigger games new members are unlikely to be successful in their application although Mid-Week matches, Champions league Qualifiers, early rounds of the League & FA Cup fixtures always open up possibilities.  When applications are high we operate a length of membership weighting on applications:  4 years, 3 years, 2 years, 1 year, 6 months etc.

Once I have requested tickets through the OSC am I able to book flights / transport to the games and accommodation?

No.  Please do not book anything until you have confirmation you have been successful with your request.  We have (this season) had members book flights & accommodation to away games and then not been successful with their request.  Therefore, it is important to understand there is NO guarantee of tickets.

Once I have been allocated a ticket through the OSC how do I pay for it?

Once your ticket is confirmed through the OSC Manchester City take control of the process.  You will receive an email to the email address associated with you membership on the club's database (NOT the OSC's database).  Payment will be expected promptly to ensure you receive the allocated ticket.

What happens if I have been allocated a ticket through the OSC, have received an email re the purchase from Manchester City Football Club but I do not pay for my ticket?

Manchester City Football Club and the Official OSC monitor ticket allocation and purchase very closely. Obtaining a ticket to watch City through the OSC is a privilege and should be considered so.  OSC members with basic Match Day Memberships are able to apply for tickets supporters with many years of membership and accumulated points are also trying to purchase.  If you are successful in the application process and allocated a ticket it is an expectation that you will go ahead with the purchase. Failing to pay for the ticket means another member of the OSC will have missed out on the opportunity to attend a match, further, it is likely to have a detrimental effect on our standing with the Official OSC who may (and often do) reduce the number of tickets we receive for future games. Given the negative consequences of a member not going ahead with a purchase has on the rest of the membership, any person not going ahead with their purchase will be banned from applying for tickets for the following 6 games.

If I have a ticket but can no longer attend the match can I sell it on?

No tickets purchased through the OSC cannot be sold on to non-members as the process is not managed by the OSC we cannot help once a purchase is made.

The club has specific rules around this designed to ensure tickets are not sold on to make profit or to non-members.  For further information on purchasing, managing, using and exchanging your tickets through Manchester City Football Club please see https://www.mancity.com/help/sections/match-tickets-7042406457236 for more information.

Membership

Membership related questions

I live in Cornwall why has my branch membership request has been rejected on the basis that I am "outside of the branch catchment area"?

When you make an application to join the branch you do so having first logged into mancity.com using your supporter ID.   When we receive your branch membership request we see the address that is associated with your supporter ID on mancity.com.

If this address is outside of the branch catchment area for example, if you've moved to Cornwall but have forgotten to update the details for your supporter ID registered with mancity.com, then we would need to reject your membership request on the basis that the request has been received from somebody outside of our branch catchment area.

I've applied to join the branch but haven't received notification that my branch membership has been approved.   Why hasn't my application been approved yet?

This most likely reason for this is that the branch hasn't yet received payment for your branch membership fee yet.

What other reasons might there be for my membership application being rejected?

Another possible reason is if the details registered with the supporter ID from which the request is made are incomplete or inaccurate.   For example, if address details are not complete.

Social media

What social media platforms are operated by the branch?

To be provided.

Does the branch have a WhatsApp group?

Yes.  As a branch we have any WhatsApp group whose membership is restricted to individuals that are members of the OSC Cornwall branch.  As a branch, we do not operate any other WhatsApp group nor are we affiliated with any other WhatsApp group.

Why doesn’t the branch notify its member of application deadlines for applications for match tickets via Facebook, X and WhatsApp?

There are a few reasons.   The most important one is that not all branch members will have (or will want to have) an account on social media platforms such as Facebook.  However, because it is necessary to have an email address in order to have a supporter ID with the club, all branch members are guaranteed to have an email address.  Therefore, the only mechanism we have of communicating this information is to email all branch members from the supporter’s club portal because all branch members are guaranteed to have an email address.  This also protects the board of the branch because it means that the OSC nationally have a record of the email being sent (because it is sent from their web portal).
